Here are highlights from Day 6! Early in the morning citizens loaded onto buses and headed to Columbia for the annual parade with Palmetto Girls State! On the way, Barrett Counterman was informed of his victory in the race for Governor of Palmetto Boys State. He speaks beautifully about how this is helping to break down barriers and that it is his purpose in this world to do so. Here are highlights from Day 5! Early into the morning citizens were casting their votes for positions like Lieutenant Governor and Governor. We were then told our two candidates for Governor and we held our Gubernatorial debate. Our Nationalist elect for Governor is Barrett Counterman and our Federalist elect is Travis Johnson! Here are highlights from Day 3! Early into the morning (as early as 1 am), citizens were still up creating their banners for their cities. Later on into the day, citizens had the opportunity to go and hear from Gary and Cindy Hipps - parents of the late Tucker Hipps, a Palmetto Boys State citizen and counselor. They shared their message of the truth behind hazing and how it directly affects young adults in the world today. Later, we held retreat again.
