Registration for the 2019 encampment of Palmetto Boys State is open! Please keep in mind, you cannot apply to be a part of Palmetto Boys State. Palmetto Boys State is a program sponsored by the American Legion. The local American Legion posts select young men to attend Palmetto Boys State between their Junior and Senior years of High School. The selection process is conducted through each local legion post. Planning for the 2019 encampment of Palmetto Boys State is underway at Anderson University. Leaders from across our state volunteer their time each year to participate and plan this annual experience for over 1,000 citizens each year. Planning conference is the largest meeting prior to the arrival of all staff to Palmetto Boys State in June. During this meeting all of staff comes together to go over the basic rundown for the year.
